A legacy whose seeds were sown 5 generations afore, M.O.D’s inception was the outcome of an aspiration Mattathil Ouseph Devasia (M.O.D) – 'The Pepper King of Kerala' held to cultivate more than just spices. Well acquainted with the many intricacies of precious jewellery making, a result of the family being in the business for decades. The first store saw its beginnings at Bharananganam in 1988. Soon, the second opened at Pala in 1993. Handed down from the visionary Mattathil Ouseph Devasia to his son Devasiachen Mattathil, the label thrived steadily. Shortly after, Devasiachen Mattathil found the perfect companion in Asha Sebastian Mattathil who owned an unparalleled creative flair.

His vision to propel the name to new heights transforming the jewel sector, alongside Asha Sebastian Mattathil’s artistic brilliance resulted in handcrafted, novel & one-of-a-kind jewellery that would soon revolutionize the Indian Bridal Niche. The brand was further elevated into extraordinary heights by Akshay Sebastian Mattathil (son of Devasiachen Mattathil & Asha Sebastian Mattathil) who opened M.O.D Signature Jewellery’s flagship store in Panampilly Nagar on the 14th of February 2014. As a jewellery atelier & store, today, after more than 30 years of design experience, innumerable bespoke creations, and a remarkable array of patrons, ‘M.O.D Signature' has become a pioneer of designer jewellery that sets brand new benchmarks for avenues of adornment.
